If you need to knock up a quick landscape, look no further.
Just click and drag with this plug-in and a mountain range appears. You can set the width and height, and all the usual fractal calculation values to give you the ideal landscape. The default resolution is a little low, but you can increase the mesh density to create very detailed worlds.
All the values are animatable - just in case you want to have your mountain range grow during your animation. There's also an option for generating mapping co-ordinates. In the example below, we've used a noise texture and bump map to give the ground some texture.
